Frenzy...

Writer: ksdlondonksdlondon

Sarah writes...

Frenzy

I never seemed to listen to the cries of the world around me,

I flew and I drove and I bought and consumed needlessly.

The spin of the world became louder and faster,

We covered our pain with a frenetical plaster.

In spite of where we are, our practiced habits will prevail,

Again we will strive and rush and "achieve" in this never-ending tale.

Yet maybe this rock in the stream that has shocked the direction we gush,

Will at least make us question this needless rush.

Through this mindless chaos that has ensued

Will we wonder if this ceaseless busyness is at all true

To the kindness and goodness and care that makes up me and you?

Sarah, I didn't realise it was your poem till I read your mum's comment.

The fact that you wrote it, makes it even more beautiful - just like you.
